Paintings & Illustrations

Thank you for your interest in commissioning a piece of artwork!

The following info pertains to traditional paintings, illustrations, ink drawings, and so forth.

When you order from me there will be plenty of communication and questions, and I will involve you in the planning and creation process. I recognise that each painting is a meaningful addition to your home or a special gift and each will be treated as a special and individual piece.

I enjoy drawing & painting a variety of subject matter from animals to flowers to fantasy creatures – if you’d like to know if I can paint what you’re thinking of, feel free to send me an enquiry!

If you are interested in commissioning an artwork please contact me.

To see what other types of work I offer, please see my commissions page. For more information about pet portraits specifically, please see its dedicated page. Pro tip – these make great gifts!

Frequently Asked Questions

Payment

I require a 50% deposit upfront to secure your booking and the balance paid before shipping. Artworks will only be started once your deposit is paid & the deposit determines your place in my queue.

Flexible payment: I am happy to start working on a piece with a deposit and keep it nice n’ safe & ready to ship until you are able to pay the balance, however I will not ship until the full amount is paid.

How long will it take?

I will give you an estimate at the time of ordering. It can be anything from a few days to weeks depending on my workload. Please let me know if there is any kind of rush so that we can find a solution that works for both of us. There may be an ‘overtime’ fee for a short deadline.

How will I get my painting?

I will ship the painting to you, well protected, with a reliable courier company. You are also welcome to collect the painting from me if you or someone you know is in Cape Town. Shipping depends on size and location. Smaller sizes (A5-A3) are R99 (including remote locations). I always try my best to get you the lowest shipping rate I can, with a trusted courier.

If there is any loss or damage in transit I will redo your painting as a priority and ship it to you post-haste.

Please credit the artist when sharing on social media.

Your painting will most likely be featured on my social media and/or website.
