Waves are hypnotic. I painted this after multiple days of visiting the ocean and establishing myself on a suitably wild-feeling rock and watching them for hours, trying to see and truly know every nuance of their movements. I don’t think I ever will. Alas this was a grasp at capturing a wave’s mood & complexity.
