As I painted this the plants were starting to accept the impending summer and the grasses were losing their green to gold; the lovely Cape winter-spring flowers were tucking themselves away. This painting is a celebration and a re-living of the blossoms that bloomed riotous in the Spring. And, of course, featuring lovely little bees working tirelessly to spread magical flowery joy.
