Reverie is a gorgeous floral watercolour that can bring a window of peace and harmony to your home.

Reverie is framed in a gorgeous handmade dark wood frame from a local artisan. The frame is fitted with a sawtooth hanger to hang it on the wall.

From start to finish this painting has been created with only the finest quality materials – lightfast watercolour pigments from Daniel Smith on an archival 100% cotton Moulin du Roy sheet.

The painting has been mounted & sealed so that it is protected against UV, moisture, and contact with acidic framing materials. This eliminates the need for glass over the painting and removes the reflective barrier that normally covers watercolour paintings. The UV protection is on par with museum-grade glass, without the steep cost. This framing method also eliminates the risk of the cotton sheet discolouring over time due to acids leaching into it.

Due to the lack of glass, the frame is lighter and easier to hang in rental homes where nails are not allowed. All materials used to mount and seal are acid-free and archival; for this purpose I only use products from Golden Acrylics and Krylon, which are some of the highest quality available in South Africa.
